The Mirò Dance Project was founded in April 2013 as a collaboration of three people: Michela Suardi, Roberta Filippini and Deborah Tassi, all dancers and teachers of modern dance. After a lot of years studying classical ballet, modern jazz and contemporary dance, the three women decided to experience new aerial artistic paths. The aerial dance use the vertical dimension to put together acrobatic elements with the contemporary dance expression. The idea was born from the union of climbing with new theatrical expression. The three performers took part in a climbing course organised by C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Club) and after that, they started to re-elaborate this kind of technique in an artistic way and to create new step combinations by using different height on air.
The three dancers took part in 2013 in dance-theatre and vertical dance Workshops and started after that to undertake new and original pahts. They produced different performances integrated in various architectural and natural frames. The choreography are in thought to be adapted in different scenographic places: indoor, theatres, squares, caves, trees,in parks, under arcade, balcony or gallery.
